I have a really old, Acer, BenQ, Prisa USB flatbed scanner. I did not want to buy a new one to work with my Win7 64 Bit system. I did find a work around via VueScan by Hamrick Software. They are online and offer 2 different downloads. 1 for 40 bucks and one for 80. The second is a professional version. Downloaded it and tried it with Adobe Acrobat (Full) and worked great!!!! Check him out if you don't want to throw away a perfectly good scanner that won't work with a 64 bit system. Last problem REPAIRED!!!! Yeah!

Yep, VueScan is great for old scanners if there's no up to date drivers for your OS.

Sometimes your old Scaners, Printers will work with the new OS's, you just have to get in to the newest driver for that equipment and before you run it delete a line of code that stops it running on the newer OS's, ie. Vista on. Not sure why they do this :D Bob.
