I know that flush-mount PCMCIA USB and Bluetooth cards exist, but does anyone know of any flush-mount PCMCIA audio cards?

I haven't heard of such a thing, I can't imagine how they'd make a header to fit that wouldn't be some POS with a super fragile connector like an iPod dock. However, I HAVE seen USB sound cards with Dolby Digital 7.1 that are about the size of a small thumbdrive. Since it needs to be plugged into a set of speakers anyways, that doesn't seem too inconvenient for everyday use.

Like this one: USB 2.0 External Sound Card 7-Channel Surround Sound.

However, in answer to the question: NoteWorthy PCMCIA SCSI/Audio Combo PC Card NWCOMB02: Audio and SCSI all rolled into one.

    Mmmmhmmm...

That Toshiba card there is pretty old tech booboo; round about the time of the Satellite 430. You'd probably gag if you saw the hideous dongle that goes with it, which, BTW, this guy doesn't have for sale with the card so it's pretty much useless... :nah:

Hey, I didn't say it was a good card, just that it was a card that pretty much met his description. ;)

And I sure wouldn't want to have to try and chase down a dongle for the darned thing!

Besides, why even consider such a card taking into account the "hermetically-sealed" nature of the fully-rugged Toughbook??? :confused2:
