I don't think I've ever done this before. I hit Fn + Tab by mistake when I wanted to hit Alt + Tab. Instead of doing nothing, it brought up one of those green BIOS icons like Fn + function keys do. This one looks like enable/disable a PCMCIA card?! I couldn't tell if it was really doing anything Did everyone know about this or did I really discover something?

Interesting, I have a Cisco in the hidden slot and Fn+TAb enables and disables it. Good find now we have a wireless/bluetooth switch !
-
Oh, does it work on the internal slot? My billionton BT card sucks sufficiently enough that I couldn't tell if it was turned on or off
-
Yea it is effectively the same as ejecting the hidden card. This is going to be really handy. I recall someone asking about how turn on and off the bluetooth to save power well I guess this is it. What is wrong with your bluetooth? remember that BT was meant for very short range like within the area of your desk so don't expect a lot range out of it.

I'm not sure how to articulate it other than it just plain sucks. If I boot the system up 10 times, 6 of those the BT will just plain not work. the little system tray icon does nothing, I can't connect to anything, it's just dead. The icon is red on the inside and blue on the outside when that happens. But then I'll reboot it and it'll be white on the inside and work just fine. Maybe it's the software that came with it that sucks, not the card. everyone else seems to like theirs.
All I know is I've got a cheapo dell USB BT plug on our desktop computer and have NONE of these problems. Works every time. (like colt 45? or was that st. ides.. ) -
Gravitar... Do you have the Billionton BT card? All mine work flawlessly. Maybe you have a bad card.

I think that one is part of a function for a hot key utility.
