Here it goes, my toughbook has been working awesome for quite a long time, I needed to disable the built in wireless connection to be able to hook up my droid to it. But, now I can't find where to enable the wireless adaptor. I've looked under system, device manager and don't see it there. Not sure where else to check for it. Kinda feel dumb everything was working great and I had to mess with it.

What card and software are you using? You may just need to enable that or enable it in Windows.

It's the built in wireless 802.11b which was working great, but I had to diable it. in the network connections for the droid to be able to tether to the toughbook. Anyway I wanted to enable it, but the wireless adapter isn't listed anymore. I'm not sure as how to find it, or what driver (.inf) file is needed to get it working again. It's been a year or more since I set up this laptop, I read the FAQ but it didn't cover built in wireless adaptor or I completly missed it. Sorry about being such a dumb dumb, just can't get a handle on it.

You can try uniinstalling it from Device Manager and then letting it boot back up to find drivers and reinstall them.
How did you "disable" it? What did you do exactly? I would think you could remove it and reinstall and it would work. -
Sounds like the OEM option with the wifi card in the "hidden" internal 3rd PC card slot. Press Fn+Tab to enable and disable power to the internal PC card slot (and thus your wireless).

You need to go into the BIOS and enable "cardbus controller B" FN+TAB only works to temporarily enable disable the card but will do nothing if it is not enabled in the BIOS.
Forgot how to enable wireless on my cf-28
