Just want to say thanks to all members. I have recently tried to join a couple other forums(automotive related). It has been educational and frustrating.
I measure the other forums on the maturity and civility of this forum. They don't measure up at all. We discuss things here and listen to others, even when we are wrong. For the most part, it is handled with ease and grace.
Other forums result in personal attacks and indignation that someone might question their ideas. No one wants to look outside the box or think that just maybe someone else has a new or better idea.
I don't mean to be prejudiced, but it's seems to be a I'm young and I already know it all attitude. I need your help and advice, if you tell me what I want to hear.
We don't get that attitude in this forum. We are more mature and definitely better moderated. This is a good place to hang out!

I think of the old joke. The parent telling the teenager to go out and enjoy life while he/she still knows it all.

    :D :D :D :DJust another stupid old man who doesn't know (forgot) everything. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Amen brothers, I'm no spring chicken and may be ready for someone to throw me in the pot to cook b/c I've forgotten everything and don't know much to start with but I've carried a business for 34 years with the help of God and still carrying on. Fortunately my 3 kids are doing that themselves and even with their youth are finding out the old man has steered them right on more than a few occasions. This site has good members that are helpful and definitely exploratory and come up with cures all the time. Old age(?) doesn;t mean you aren't tough. As the name of this forum suggests. Get your bug out bags or G.O.O.D. bags ready and TB's as well. I believe real soon we're going to need them..Driller

There's enough indication in the above to suggest than some people are becoming "Old & Wise". :hi2:

It's all part of "The Life Cycle"....In order to become "Old & Wise" you first need to be "Young & Stupid". :)

You are only "Young Once", which allows you to be "Stupid".

"Older & Wiser" is an indication that you are no longer "Young & Stupid".

"Old & Stupid" is an indication that you have ignored the advice of those who are "Old & Wise". :(

If the road you are travelling leads to a town called "Old & Stupid", you need to get off at the next "Bus Stop" before it's too late, the "Young & Stupid" can be difficult, the "Old & Stupid" can be impossible.
