Greetings all from Morocco. Thanks to every one that helped me get this up and running.

Just thought you would all get a good laugh from this. I woke up in the middle of the night and found that a black (very poisonous) Scorpion had climbed up on my Toughbook. No I did not get a pic it was 0300 in the morning and I had to p1ss. So I grabbed my forceps and picked him up, put it in the collection can. Tent mate a lill shocked it had gotten in. I moved it far away from the camp and let it go.

YES Rick I can hear you now "I want a picture of one on the TB"! Plenty of them out in the sand buddy. You will get your image. At three in the morning and trying not to p1ss my self it is not the time to be playing with HOT (poisonous) animals

I completely agree. Anything with more than four legs is a big no-no in my book.

I'm pretty sure that a scorpion couldn't do sqwat to a laptop - ESPECIALLY a Toughbook - now all you Deller's out there - I would be very concerned! :D

Ehhh... Rick, you won't be satisfied until he shows you a scorpion IN his ToughBook. :eek2:

You know, that reminds me of another thread where we were talking about dangerous things that fit inside the MediaBay... *Snerk* :radar:

you should put the scorpion on your toughbook with the lights off under a blacklight with the keyboard backlight on..... that would make for a sweet picture.

Paul I'm surprised you aren't used to scorpions you are in west texas and they swarm over there. My dad has a ranch outside bandera and we go hunting for scorpions at night armed only with a blacklight and a jar.

Yeah... well... they don't exactly survive the trek across 8 lanes of traffic between the inner & outer loops to get where I am. Tho, tis true you can drive 30 minutes in almost any direction and get to the boonies, where of course scorpions come in pretty much every variety you can think of and do appear to hold court under every sage bush. Fortunately, most of the species we have are no more dangerous than a wasp sting. I always though it was weird how they glow in the dark... that creeps me out more than the sting.

Scorpion armies unite to invade the Alamo. Their armies will be held at bay for 7 days till they finally sting everyone and give them stomach pains and a headache. hell their pinchers hurt more than the actual sting.

Meh... they did that already. Why do you suppose Santa Anna left? The scorpions were in Sam Houston's army...
