Hi folks, does anybody know if a free off-line routeplanner can be found on the internets, that i can use on my CF-27 / CF-28 (1Ghz) ?

I like to use one of my toughbooks for a bit of navigation, without having to use a GPS system.

So, i somebody knows a free off-line routeplanner / map for Europe, then i would be very, very happy.

    Thanks in advance.

Streets and Trips is available for North America only and is what I use. I see that MS has Autoroute which is alleged to be S & T for Europe. If it has all the features of S & T it will be a good choice.

Thanks for the replies, but Google maps works online when i would have wifi / internets on the CF-28.

I dont have wifi, so i actually need some kind of routeplanner that works offline on my CF-28.

On my nokia 6303 mobile phone, i also have an offline routeplanner.

I had found AMD autoroute (from 1996 or so), that works a bit, but has very EGA / VGA graphics.

And MS Autoroute isnt free to use, or is it ?

No, but you should be able to pick up a last year copy for around the equivalent of $30-40US. Buy yourself a USGlobalSAT BU-353 for about the same and you can navigate live with your CF-28.

Thanks for the hint. I just looked for some 2nd hand routeplanners on my local internet marketplaces, and have found some as cheap as 1$ to 4$. So, that will help me out.

They are some older CD-roms , but anyhow, dirtcheap.
