I dont know if friday the 13th is lucky or not yet. I bought one of the CF-29 MK3's from Geek.com. So far im pleasently suprised. it looks like a new touch screen, new key board, and a new paint job :), i will have to see how the paint holds up but it looks ok for now. They sent me the wrong AC adapter cable so i pulled one off of one of my dell laptops. As soon as its done updating i will add the 1 gig of ram hopefully. thats how i killed my CF-18. There is a 1" soft spot on the bottom that most likely a crack just above the UL listed label but i will also worry about that later. They also sent me a new screen protector. It has a cdd rom in the left side and the right side compartment is empty. I was hoping for more USB ports but i really only have 1 gps so that doesnt matter. im plannig on adding an internal. Still playing with right now while im updating servers at work but so far so good.

WARNING -- Many Dell power supplies put out 19-20V, the Panasonic is designed for 15.6V -- connecting a CF-29 to too much voltage can FRY the motherboard!

    update,

now has 1.49 GB of ram. Good thing i kept the old stuff laying around. Im not using the whole power supply just the AC cable, they sent me a 3 prong and the panasonic power supply uses the old 2 prong style.

All my panasonic's have 3 prong. I have one that came with one of my toughbooks which was non-oem which has a 2 prong.

You do have an aftermarket AC adaptor not the OEM one.
