I would think that cover is a modified part. Toughbook, modly, ohlip and some others have done similar things. It was probably cut and the antenna fitted, then epoxied and sanded to match.

Various threads on adding aftermarket GPS cover some of this.

Kanada... Welcome to the Panasonic Forums!

Cybertools molds their own corners. I have only seen one in person. There is a slight difference but not by much. They make a lot of those laptops but for a "one-off" it wouldn't be worth yout time or money.

If you are looking to add GPS... You have A LOT of reading to do.

The only way you will get more brightness is either to pay someone to install a new backlight... Or move up to a CF-29. The screen brightness on the 29 seems more than twice as bright as the 28... So much more that you can even see it in daylight... But not very well... But still enough to operate the laptop.

I would never pay so much money for a used modified and painted Laptop like his ones.
Found only the antenna cover interesting.

I use on CF-28 and CF-18 a Sierra Wireless UMTS Card with internal antenna.
    Works fine.

We need to find a plastics engineer or injection molding guy that loves toughbooks... Because that's an area I just can't touch. I burn plastic.

It's fairly easy enough to do... You just need the money to buy all the supplies and the time to do it. It's all pourable stuff.

Make the part, mold it, pour the plastic in... Nothing else to it.

I believe at one time I outlined the RTV silicone mold/epoxy resin process I've used to make small quantities of custom parts. I don't know if you can use the silicone molds to make a whole poured rubber part; also, my experience with the pourable handle stuff is that while it makes a good grip or surface if poured to something rigid, I'm not entirely certain it is dense/rigid enough to use for a whole poured rubber part that will support your GPS antenna. That was why I suggested potting the GPS antenna in mold to make an epoxy part, then just pouring a skin of black rubber over that.
