I have a new Toughbook CF-52 that we want to install a Gobi2000. Upgraded the Bios and enabled WAN.

We also have a ThinkPad with the Gobi 2000 that we want to move the service from to the new Toughbook.

I figured it was worth a shot to try this card in the Toughbook. The card is recognized and shows up in Device Manager.

Running the Carrier Selection Application displays an error that no Gobi device is installed.

Anyone know of a way to to get this card to work? Perhaps a firmware upgrade?

    I disabled the wireless switch.

When I run startcsa.exe The message I receive is "Gobi Device Not found"

If I run the Wireless Wan software for Gobi2000 I receive "Gobi2000 Device not found".

The Gobi2000 appears in Device Manager.

Thinking there must be some difference in the Gobi2000 for Thinkpad vs Panasonic.

As I've said: If that doesn't work then you may have to cover up that one pin as per my website HERE: Index of ./CF-30 Stuff/CF-30 Upgrade to 802.11N Intel 4965 Fix/

    If that doesn't work then you will have to get a GOBI 2000 card from heartland: 1 x CF-31 GOBI 2000 Card – 1100984 - $132.12

Covered the pin and still no luck.

Even with the pin covered, the card showed up in Device Manager. Same installation errors though.

Guess we'll need to get a new card.
