    Real men wear kilts!

    :D

My refurb toughbooks came with screen protectors, so why not use them? When they wear out you can always pull em' off and go shiny!

My ancesters were Celts: we wore blue paint instead of kilts. ;)

So were mine; but we wear Edwards Clan Tartan in this civilized age. Or were you referring to the Picts that were common to both our ancestry?

Blue paint (or nothin') for battle, kilts for more formal occasions... Though it should be remembered that at the time the Romans were wearing skirt-like short tunics, most of the Celts of continental Europe were wearing pants.

Anyway... I've tried going without a screen protector, but for the pen digitizer screen (CF-18) it was too slick. The protector gives a more paper-like friction. (Though not as paperlike as I'd like, alas.)

You can get protectors for $20 on Ebay, they are cut to fit, I had to do this when I owned my CF-28 before I sold it. I put the protector on and it worked great and I did that on a none touchscreen just to protect the screen. Its an investment, why skimp on a $25 purchase for protecting your screen.

Its like AIDs, do you want to take a risk or wear a condom. ;-)

    Ditto on ScreenPatronous.

Also... Someone posted a well thought out way to apply the new touchscreen protector in the bathroom with the shower and the sinks spitting out as much steam as possible to knock back the dust.... Wait 10 minutes, blow off the dust and apply....
