Redman, I'm not sure how you posted here but on my Panasonic TV the computer hooks to a serial port. As for any HDMI connection, I'm all done with that, component video is what's happening.

LOL Cap... Yeah, I don't think their is a question in the OP's post..... Redman, I think you're on the wrong forum lol... You can use VGA (blue plug usually), HDMI or DVI (white plug)... Component is for old farts like that guy^^^^ You don't wanna be an old fart do you??? I didn't think so!

I choose the third post which is off-topic

You need to switch the input on the TV remote control until you get a picture from the 6935g, it should display TV , video1 ,video 2,component etc
Boot the laptop while connected to the TV or there will be a Function hot-key used to switch from your built-in display and the external
Hint: you do need to run a cable between the Acer and the TV first

Why is the clock always flashing 12:00

Rob, This old fart is doing a bit more than just connecting his cable box to his shiny new Panasonic plasma. It's my first HD/TV, and it did not take me long to discover that HDMI does not lend itself well to directing video one way and audio another. I would have struggled with it until a little research disclosed that component video is still the standard for high end systems. The cables are a little more expensive but everything works the way I want it to.

Sorry, no PC is worth my soul! Black magic is where I draw the line at resolving computer problems!

And for the record, I too find Component a lot more trouble free and then HDMI! :)
