I lived in Jersey till i was 13, and then moved. I'm not much help to you, alot has changed in 20 years.

Be careful, enjoy yourself, and make sure you get a good Philly Cheesesteak from greasy corner vendor (they're the best).

Be safe, and Merry Christmas back at you!

Don't flog me for a stupid question, but why does the US say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas"? It is Christmas after all...

    Not complaining, just intrigued!

Because there are so many different religions and believes. I remember growing up and saying "Merry Christmas" to people. Now non Christians are offended by that saying as they may celebrate a different Holiday.

Actually no one I have ever met is offended by being wished a Merry Christmas. There is a small group of, sorry to say, leftish jackas*es who, in an orgy of political correctness, have convinced way too many people who should know better that wishing someone a Merry Christmas might offend them. If you're dumb enough to be offended by Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings to you. For the rest, Merry Christmas from Captain and Mrs. Dogfish!

Yes, the "Politically-corrected" US of Anal-retentive has decided that it's only OK to HAVE an "unofficial official religion"; not to refer to it in the first person.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who is offended by the fact that I celebrate the purported birthday of Jesus and in the spirit of that celebration wish them a merry time as well... they can damned well be offended somewhere else, and they can kiss my scaly dragon patootie on their way out.

Merry Christmas to All, and a Joyous New Year as well!!!

I have a very strong suspicion that my wife is getting me a Macbook Air. I have never-ever used a Mac computer and am very curios as too what's it is like. I bought an iPad awhile back and she has taken possession of it. She must want the MBP I guess ;)

    Merry Christmas all !

I appreciate this forum and the great colorful characters we have :) Many of you show us the spirit of giving is alive and well and how even in these turbulent economic times the power of human spirit can overcome many challenges.

Something I learned a while ago is the secret to happiness is appreciation.
And I appreciate how great not only in technical skills many of the forum members are, but in their generosity of spirit. The dragon's video almost got a tear out of me... nice gesture guys, that was awesome.

    Peace and Happy holidays.

Wow; that looks EXACTLY like the stretch of 14A that runs between Dundee And Penn Yan back home in Central NY... and about right for this time of year too. Mid-January to February, the drifts will be so high you can't see the trees in the background. ;)

M the flick is from Iceland I do believe. Pinecone was going there for some odd reason. :) Parts of Nevada/Utah would work too.

    Merry Christmas, y'all!

We've survived Christmas morning; the presents are all opened and our bellies are all full of my wife's delicious roast. Now it's time to just sit around holding our bellies, feeling thankful for all the good things we have. And thankful we are!

Merry Christmas... Happy Holidays... Seasons Greetings... Have a good day... Hopefully I offended no one; but I also celebrate this day as the birth of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you do not, eh, You are entitled to be wrong.

ps. What is this SNOW you speak of?? *sent in SUNNY Southern California!! :)
