It can be easy to let our difficulties define our lives if we are not careful. This year I am taking the time today to count my blessings. I pray that you all have a happy and bountyful Thanksgiving no matter were you may be!

Happy Turkey Day!
I have a lot to be thankful for. Knowing a fine bunch of guys like you all here is high on my list. May we be wise enough to appreciate the blessings we receive each day. -
I know that Christmas has been PCed to death; fortunately, Thanksgiving is a nondenominational even if primarily AMERICAN holiday (Merry Christmas, too, BTW). Under any circumstances I do believe it's a safe bet that anyone who can read this has a lot to be thankful for; they most likely have a home with electricity and enough discretionary money to be able to afford a computer and Internet. Even if they have to borrow said computer, they at least have enough education to read it and use it and free time to be able to visit places like this; many in this world still dream of a home with running water and view any telephone as an extravagance, while many more dream of a home of any kind where they don't wonder where their next meal will come from.
We've just finished our little get-together; due to an unfortunate confluence of bills and not enough money we were unable to travel to visit distant family, so we had a small but diverse spread with just my wife, kids, and mother. Everybody's relaxing and holding their bellies and talking on the phone with those distant relatives we couldn't visit in person. Wait a minute... roll that back.
We just had a meal with more than enough for everyone, in our home, with my loving wife, our two beautiful happy children and my mother who has survived her battle with the big C to see yet another holiday season.
*Sigh* I truly have much to be thankful for.
