I found this nice laser keyboard. It costs 160 euros.
Has anybody any experience with this gadget ?
It also works with power from USB.

I'm waiting for a time when not only keyboard will be projected, but also a display.
Projection keyboard only is not comfortable and has no sense. -
I have seen demo videos before but have no on hand use of it. I have also seen one prototype that has a projection screen with it also so it projects screen and keyboard for a desktop in your pocket so to speak.

I used one of the earliest models of this tech once. I've always been critical towards it ever since. Mostly because it had an annoying habit of having vertical errors, ie. reading the "key" you pressed, and the ones directly under it simultaneously .
While I'm sure its been perfected the last few years, i dont think I'll ever buy one. -
Absolutly the same for me!
Tried it a few times and didn't like it, it was hard to see the keyboard, no tactile feedback, it's just like typing on an iPad: possible but not very comfy. -
I've used it; people who actually touch type will not be very comfortable with it. I am just a quick hunt & peck, and as such was able to get used to it very quickly.
My issue was cost; when I looked at it, it was close to $400. However, I can see this coupled with a pico projector as the next phase of portable computing devices. While not suited for the hardcore programmer or data-entry type use, I can see it making a real computer out of an iPwn-type device, one which most ordinary people will be more than happy with. All you'd need is a table against a wall; there's your typing surface and your display surface.
Also, this is something I've mentioned, in this very forum, at least twice already.

Yes, I am still alive. I fell off the internet for a while, but I'm clawing my way back. -

Yeah; that's a repackaged Micro-ITX board made mostly with off-the-shelf components. It's a start, but I'm looking for the evolved product, something the size and shape of a thick iPwn. It WILL be doable soon; the only real issue will be a suitable power source. Either they'll have to make the thing 3x thicker to accommodate enough battery for all those emitters, or they'll need something with about 3-5x the power density Li-Po has.
Of course the reality will probably be something which meets in the middle; at least until the next quantum jump in miniaturization occurs. Before long they'll have to do away with PC boards altogether, they just waste too much space.

No, I don't have any idea how they'll do it either.
Has anybody used the Celluon Magic cube laser keyboard ?
