Hi and thanks for reading my thread. I have a CF-19KDR01CE, been upgrading this to win 7. I am trying to find out if I have GPS. I know ther is a qualcomm gobi card installed as have wwan working. I have oneclick sierra utility loaded and the gps button will open the gps interface but when I click on Get GPS nothing will happen. I figure the first step is to ensure this is a gobi 2000 and not gobi 1000, as i understand that only the 2000 has GPS. Second step would be either purchase gobi 2000 or how do I get this to work. Any help is much appriciatednas I am growing quite fond of this little project I have going. Kind Regards
    Hevenly D

First look in the bios to see if the GPS is showing there. If so you will need to enable it. When you figure out how to turn it on (you'll have to get that information from someone else, I don't mess with internal GPS), you will need a software program to see the GPS. I like VisualGPS, it's free and very useful. Others will chime in with their favorites, suit yourself. Welcome to the forum.

Okay I have checked Bios and gps is active. How do I go about finding the nmea settings for visual gps or should I be connecting through one of the ports? Thanks in advance for your replies

You can use Franson GPS Gate or GPSinfo(from USglobalSat) to find your GPS, both are free. Once you know what COM PORT your GPS is talking to you can use any one of myriad applications, some free, some not. It is at this point I suggest that you do a little reading. We have been messing about with GPS on this forum for years and there are not a lot of new questions to be asked. To search the forum type this into a browser: "TEST site:forum.notebookreview.com/panasonic" replace TEST with what you are looking for. You're welcome, I'm in a good mood this morning.
