My wife called me over to the TV but I only caught the last few seconds of it. Guess they're trying to go mainstream!

Yup, I've seen it. Possibly what flooded the Toughbook market on eBay lately ;)

And good seeing you in person again today, even if it was cold as hell.

I'm starting to see more TB commercials as well. I think they're trying to boost their sales figures. They're not centering on any specific models, but across the board showing the versatility of the TB whether you're a business person or a military personnel.

They also have print adds all over the major Airports - especially Dulles and BWI -

My wife and I are serious non-TeeVee watchers. We recently went for six months without powering on a set. In some recent bad weather, we did turn it on for local weather, and then decided to watch a DVD.

However, Youtube has many entertaining Toughbook videos and commercials. Those of us familiar with TB are not impressed by the guys in a bar pouring beer over a TB, but his friends probably were.

We don't watch much TV either. It hardly ever got turned on over the summer months. But, here in MI, there just isn't much to do over the winter! Our kids are 6, 4, 3, 2, and 6 mos. so we can't really put them outside like we did in the summer. So, reluctantly, we let them watch TV quite a bit now.

there still isn't much I care to watch. the only "must see tv" i have is 60 minutes, other than that one hour of the week i could care less about tv!

I don't even know what show was running when the toughbook commercial was on.. but I hadn't realized that panasonic had started marketing toughbooks to consumers like that! Are they starting to sell through retail channels now? I remember someone saying they saw a toughbook display at best buy. I might have to wander into one and take a look! I remember when you had to have an account with Pinacor (and later, Tech Data) if you wanted to buy one!

    HI,
Have any of you all seen the movie Sahara? In the first third of the movie a Toughbook is being used by the lady doctor. Can't tell which model. Sure looks purty (the computer that is; but the lady isn't bad either. :)
