I have found that if panasonic has a Bois update for Visa on the toughbooks that if you load it. The Drivers for Vista will load in Windows 7 and work correctly. Not saying that it will fix every ones problem, but it made the CF-30 MK1 Work perfect with all vista driver.

So you are saying that for an MK1 CF-30 to load the Vista BIOS and the MK Vista drivers? Mine isn't working that way.... Though it may be because I have tried installing several of the various TS drivers...
-
Yes Rick
Here is what is working for me. Clean install of Windows 7
My CF-30 MK1 came with XP Bios.
I upgrade to the XP to Vista Bios. It's not the ones in normal download it's the bios upgrade for vista. I found it in How to upgrade to Vista download
Then installed All the Vista drivers from Panny sight. They all load with out a hitch.
It could be that there has been to many drivers installed. -
That's my thought too... The registry won't let me delete the ones that I already loaded... So I'll need to do a clean install soon... Oh well...
-
I think when you have the system bios loaded for xp then upgrading your missing some files that vista bios would install with a clean install.

Thanks for the information, very useful, if you have more information please tell us.

Can someone email me the correct BIOS version for Vista/Win 7 so that I can put it on my site?
Thanks -
Rob
I'll send them later tonight. I'm on the road today. I will send you all the files I'm using

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE PDF BEFORE YOU START!!!!!!!
Thank You Rob for Listing the files in your download.

Install the Bluetooth driver if you have it.
MAKE SURE YOU REBOOT AFTER EACH INSTALL
There is other drivers, but I don't use them and have not tested them.

I am reloading mine now...
I might add a few things... IF you are reloading... be sure to reformat your hard drive first.... Plug it up to your desktop if you can and go into Disk Mangement and delete both partitions. Also... If you have GPS installed... Disable it prior to installation or you will be fighting the jumping mouse issue during install and it will frustrate the bejesus out of you!
I'll put together a whole thing based up on what Darrin, Rob and others have found and post back when working... -
Okay, I've updated Darrin's ZIP file!
Thanks -
Okay... No need for the video driver that is included... Or the BT... The video driver that is in that file is actually older than what W7 installs. Also.. The BT software didn't work... Looking for "data.cab" that is not there.
I'll update when I can... But I DO have a working touchscreen that works... WHOHOOOOOO...
More later... Jamming to ARS -
Rick did you down load from the link i sent you? or Robs new link? It had a bad file in the bluetooth folder. I sent a new file to Rob when he had problems. I think he has uploaded it. The file didn't Zip right. If it's still not working let me know I'll look at it again. I may have stripped away to much of it.
I just loaded the new file i sent to rob. It's working fine now.

Cool.... I downloaded another type and it gave me some guff installing it... Not smoothly like last time.
One thing... I notice that my scroll function on my touchpad works sporadically now... -
