Hello to you all! I have been lurking for about 6 weeks now and reading through all of the great information that is on this site. I had no idea of the capabilities of the Toughbook - especially with all of the mods. You guys and gals ROCK! I am completely incompetent at electronics so I find it as amazing that you can figure all of this out.

I am a totally new to the Toughbook, I bought a used CF-29LTQGZBM off of eBay, and paid a little too much for it according to the threads that I have read here, but I am a very happy and proud Toughbook owner. I am in the process of configuring it for my personal needs and I will be refering to this board often, I am sure, for help.

    Thanks for the interesting reading.

Springfield - I had to LMAO when I saw your avitar, I did that very same thing with a screwdriver when I was a kid! I was about four at the time but I remember it vividly... probably the root cause of why I am reluctant to do my own mods!

I was 2 when I did it with my sister's toy eggbeater. According to my Mom it sent sparks flying and a ball of electricity rolled across the room.
Must have got my interest since I grew up to be an electrical engineer.
