    Hi guys

I'm new here, I need help buestra.
    I bought a Panasonic CF-19FDGAXCM think it is MK2.
It came with Windows Vista, I've installed Windows XP SP3.Pero have a problem with the touchscreen driver.

I download all the driver of the official page:
    http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/cgi-bin/itn/toughbook/dl01.cgi

And I have everything installed fine but when I install the touchscreen driver tells me that the system does not support these drivers.

    Some help.

    Thanks.

Your CF-19 is a digitizer model and not touchscreen that is why the drivers will not install.

Take a look around the forums to read about digitizers. They require a special pen to be used with the screen and fingers will not work.

That driver is not used for this purpose.

I think I found the solution to my problem.

After reading all afternoon forum, the problem is that I did not follow the process of installing the drivers.

I'll start again and tell you.

    I don't understand your question?

Please allow me to express some words, they are not meant to be mean. Simply a suggestion for future help.
When a new member comes on here and asks for help, and in return you recieve help from others, it is best and most appreciated to let others knoow how or what solved your problem. Sorry for the run on.......

You will have much more success in the future with other problems. It is simply human nature. Please don't take offense to this, as you might not have known how it works around here :) Besides, over here in the ToughBook crowd we are a little different from the other embryos.

Try to explain what it is you need help with on your last post again please.

You are right, I'm new here and not how things work. I apologize.

    I state my problem:

I have a panasonic CF-19FD with Windows Vista and everything worked fine.

I try to install Windows XP SP2, I followed the manuals and installation order.

I think I do everything right, but I am unable to make it work.

Display rotation does not work, Screen digitizer not work. The other drivers work well.

    Thank you very much Toyo.

    Vincent -

XP SP2/SP3 does NOT include support for Digitizer. There ARE workarounds for this as outlined above; but the result is not the same as the complete support you were used to with Vista (As Vista was designed to INCLUDE all the Touchscreen integration of previous versions).

The simplest solution is to START with Windows Tablet PC OS, preferably 2005 Edition. It INTEGRATES all the digitizer goodies into the OS, and everything will work with it.

The problem? FINDING IT. Tablet PC was only released to System Builders and OEMs; NEVER as retail. You will need to find it locally, and you will need to find the license locally as well. I'm afraid I cannot go into further detail; this is a grey area of licensing with M$ and even THEY won't give you the same answer twice. AS such, any in-depth discussion in this forum is VERBOTEN.

If I were you, I'd look into Win7; M$ has some VERY attractive limited time offers for Upgrade purchase; If you're a student with a valid eMail address at any college, you can get it for $30, but you gotta do it before Jan 1st... or if you are a System Builder, you can buy THAT Version for $97 at Newegg.com.

    mnem
Oh, this Windows won't have all those problems as the previous versions... TRUST ME...

Go with W7 no doubt. Do you have the Vista Restore disc that CAME WITH your 19? If so, load that back on there. You will then have all of the original Panasonic programs, drivers, etc. Then go buy the W7 Pro Upgrade and load it. You will be very happy you did it this way.

Read everything on this link from Panny that explains how to, and the proper STEPS you must do in order for it to work properly 100%. Your model is not included with the drivers on this page, but the order in which you do it is.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

    Thanks for your answers.

Do not know if I can install W7, I have no recovery disk vista (where can I get it) buy the notebook used.

Not if I worked the W7 with some software that I only work with WXP.

I think I still have only two options:

    Buy WTable or buy W7.

I will keep you informed and I very much appreciate your help.

    Thank you very much.
