Ok so I am a City Police Officer with a in car CF28. My Touchpad for the mouse recently started acting up. I would loose 90% of the touch function. Only the very left side would work.

I have repaired many laptops in the past so I figured what the heck take it apart and try fixing it.

I took everything apart and reinstalled the ribbon to the touchpad and nothing. So I gave up and reassembled it. Problem is I put a small nick on my ribbon to the keyboard and lost NHY6.

I have the lighted chicklet plastic keys keyboard with the three ribbons.

    CF28 800MHz PIII 256MB 30GB HD 13.3in Montior.

I have tried and tried looking for a replacement keyboard. Can anyone help ?

Also the touchpad is another story. The dang thing started working today out of the blue. The left and right mouse buttons work perfect it was just the scrolling and moving the pointer around problem.

    Thanks,

    Ptl. Cody MPD

Are you talking about the outer gray portion ? I have already cleaned it. Like I said it comes and goes. One day it works perfect, the next its crap.

Other info sent. Now back to my other issues.

What about the touchpad ? I guess I could get away with a external mouse.

What would cause it to work one day and the other nadda.

It is international shipping from canada that is why.

But the keyboard you are looking for is kind of rare by the looks of it on ebay as you have to have a specific cf-28 for it to work.

If you cannot find the keyboard anywhere else on ebay i would spend the few extra bucks and buy it.

Keyboards usually run in the $100's so even with the expensive shipping it is still a good deal.

    fiero880,
Let me know if Teo can't hook you up on the keyboard. I got a nice one a while ago not knowing it needed the inverter to work. It's no good to me.
