    Hey all,

I just acquired a CF-50 from some computer work I did for a friend. It's entirely functional, though his dog thrashed it pretty well. The display is ruined and I'm trying to track down a replacement. After doing some research, it appears that there are several different displays for this model. Does anyone know of a way to identify what type of display my particular model is using?

I'd have to think that getting one of these books for the cost of a replacement would be a pretty sweet deal, but I'd like to make sure I get the display type right (obviously) before I order a new one.

    Thanks!

Your best bet is take the display apart and get the number directly off the LCD. They do use different LCD's even on the same model number so that would be the only way to know for sure.

That's a great idea! Don't know why it didn't occur to me sooner.

    Thanks for your help

I have replaced the screens on the smaller 13.3” cf71s cf72s
The lcd displays on those are made by Samsung.
Panasonic uses various lcd makes in the toughbooks.

Yours is a 15” business class toughbook and I think when you pull the back off and find a part # you will find that the lcd is a common affordable model.
