    Greetings,

Wanted to see if I could get some help identifying the nomenclature for a mounting piece for a CF-273* dock, and any tips on where to obtain one.

I am attempting to interface a CF-WEB2732 dock to a Jotto desk mount.

Please consult my mind-blowing diagram below. Thanks for your assistance.

I made my own out of a scrap aluminum plate 1/4" thick for about $2. cut it with a jigsaw to fit, and used self tapping sheet metal screws in predrilled 1/16" holes.

Alternatively, go to your local sheet metal shop (take your dock with you) and ask them to fabricate a 3 sided pan that will fit in the underside as desired. Should cost about $20. Then slip it in, mark the holes with a sharpie, and predrill 1/16" holes on the sharpie marks. Reinstall, and use sheet metal screws or whatever.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the information and tips. interestingfellow, any chance you could snap a photo of what you fabricated up? I'm not totally clear on how you attached it to the side screw holes on the dock. Did you bend it into the pan shape?

Yeah, I had seen the GJ mount plates on ebay a while back for $10 each, but by the time I went back, they were gone.

I'll try to get a snapshot on my way to work tomorrow. For mine, I got a piece of scrap aluminum plate .25" thick, and too big. i measured it up, and cut it to fit snugly in the bottom of the dock, marked the holes, predrilled them, and screwed the plate into place (I'll try to get a pic).
What I had recomended, was taking your dock, and a copy of that picture, and ask a sheetmetal shop what they would charge. Spraypaint it, and be on your way...
