Welcome back...it's always best if you need help with a problem to ask in the open forum. We do it this way because it will help you but also it will help others that may have the same problem now or 6 months or so later. This is the main idea behind forums...to help everyone.

I also moved this to it's own thread.

Ok, thanks, it is just that there is very little talk or info on the CF-31, & when I saw something on it I jumped before I saw how old it was. Same with my JT-B1, not much talk or info on that either. I guess most of the members prefer the older models.

I have upgraded to win 8.1, all is good except when ever I install a new app or program the video adapter driver updates to something different and I have to "roll back" the driver to make the hot keys ie (screen brightness) work again, looking for a permanent fix.

Now that might be a problem because I don't think anyone on here has W8 on there Toughbook. I tried it on my CF-30 way back and never liked it at all.

Ok, I will keep playing with it, I will get it eventually , the Japanese Panasonic website has been a big help to get me this far with drivers & installation procedures for Win 8, I will check there some more. I like it more & more as time goes on, 8.1 made a big difference over 8.0.
