Help with fz-g1 cellular service

So I bought a g1 last year, now I'm trying to get it added onto my Verizon account. Long story short, I'm OTR truck driver, want it for a gps, entertainment and when I purchase my own truck this spring, use it as my elog, ifta, dispatch, etc. However I took it into the veriVer store and of course they just look at a list of devices an since it's not samsung or apple they assume it's not compatible.. I bought a verizVe sim card, installed it, however the computer won't even acknowledge it's there. The cellular network option doesn't pop up in network settings. I'm about 99 percent positive it's already got the network cards in it considering I paid 2500 bucks for it. I did locate two wwan antennas in the tablet, the Sim card slot is there etc. Downloaded the drivers from Panasonic for Verizon, however the firmware update would not install. I believe it is a mk4, I'll look when I get home tomorrow. But any ideas or suggestions been reading a little about the bios, so I'm rather curious if the cellular network card has to be turned on through a different menu such as the BIOS? Definitely not a computer wiz, however I'm a little more knowledgeable than your typical person

No mention of WWAN card but does show WWAN as one of the external antenna connections...

 

It's got the slot for a Sim card....or is that something they all have and need the wwan card installed? Just strange bc it has two wwan antennas

 

Nothing along the lines of Sierra or wwan, or anything else 4g related shows up. Just wifi

Well then, what exactly do I need to get it up and running? Replaced ram on desktops before, is it plug and play or would I be better off getting one of the usb cards?

 

They are fairly simple to install.
The antennas are already there. You need to split open the tablet though.
Plug the module in, screw it down and connect antennas.

I have a module from a G1. Need to verify it though. Start a private conversation if you are interested.

 

Yeah i have a spare one too, the unit i bought came with a verizon lte module but i'm in canada so i replaced it with the at&t version. If you need a Verizon card start a "New Conversation / PM with me.
