    I'm new here. I just won my laptop, from Fleabay. Should have it next week. It looks like there's lots of good info here, I will visit often! ;)
    First thing I'm going to do is up the RAM, hopefully it will accept 1 GB, if not,768 it will be! :D

    Which model did you score up?

    I'm sure you will enjoy it, but be warned... Owning a Toughbook is a peculiar thing... you can't get away without modding it.

    From the auction," internal high-gain state-of-the-art Garmin GPS engine / receiver ", so I'm going to say aftermarket..?? Yes,no...? :confused:

    I'd say after market. If it is Garmin; you may have to fiddle with it to get it to work with other mapping software. They're usually very good GPS units in my experience.
