    Hey all,

    OK, My CF-30 is on loan to one of my clients, so I can not look at it to get accurate phrasing or to test this.

    I essence - on accumulated run time hours (in the BIOS), does the time the machine is asleep count or just time it is fully running?

    Yes it does, once you hit that power switch it starts counting...sleep...stand by...the clocks a ticking

    UPDATE;
    My CF-30 and 52 did not add to the BIOS HOURS when put to sleep overnight

    does it count when it goes into sleep/hibernation? seem to remember Toughbook saying once a while ago that these hours may not add into accumulated operational hours( remember, I just turned 60 so my memory ain't what it used to be)....Driller

    Guess I will have to check my 51 again. When I got it with zero hours on it I never turned it off for a week, just put it to sleep and the next thing you know I have 150 hours on it. Guess I will have to check it out again

    I ALWAYS put my 31 (and did so with my 30 and 29 too) to sleep when it's not in use and it DOES NOT count against the hours.

    Glad Blair edited his post :p

    I saw a tidbit today (Ebay ad) where they said the hours are added in increments of 10. IOW my 0 hour CF-52 has something between 0 and 10. Makes sense since it hasn't changed from 0 yet.
    Anyone experienced this?

    The BIOS does indeed show in tenths. It can be a little confusing when testing the hours this way. If you leave it on for 9 hours it will not change until the tenth hour clicks by. Actually I would test it over a 24 hour period to get a much more accurate reading. I will start testing mine to see what it does.

    My cf-19MK3( i have two unit btw, and the other one still zero) counted the accumulated hrs for every 20hrs used. I don't know why it is difer...t into my MK1 that count for evry ten hrs used.

    OK, I have my machine back. I'll let it sleep 24+ hours and see what it does.

    OK, it slept for 26 hours and the clock did not move. Looks like only "on" is counted. At 11890 hours, that is a lot of work she has done.

    You can also keep using it instead of letting it sit and use the PcInfo Program to look at the hours.
