It has to been enabled in the bios first
On the bottom taskbar you will usually find a software switch as well
And you will need the watcher software application
btw you are you talking about a sprint, or similar wwan .or is it a local wi-fi network

You need to have the Watcher555 program installed to the corect COM ports or your system will not work correctly. I THINK the Com Port settings for the MK3 are COMs 7 & 8... BUt it is easy enough to try out different ones if needed.

    Follow-up
    If it's the wi-fi
This is the procedure to get it working
    Go into wireless properties
The first tab is called general
It will list your card there, on my mk-2 is says intel 2200bg
    Click configure
under the advanced tab it has a wireless on ,or off button
    make sure its on

Did you just add this card in yourself? If it is a third party non Intel card then it will not show up in the BIOS and you will not see the Centrino logo on bootup. What shows up in device manager under network adapters? If no wireless card shows up there then there may not be one installed so you may need to open the bottom to see what is there.

    Ok
    One of two things
Someone has removed the Intel2200bg card
    or
Someone has replaced the standard card with a different type
In both cases nothing will show in the bios
    In windows
    Start/Control panel/system/device manager
See if you have a ! for any devices

You don't have any wifi card installed.... (You see nothing under Network either?) You need to get one, install the drivers... Plus install all the rest of the drivers...

    Sound
    Modem
    Hotkey drivers
    Video Drivers

See the stickies for download sites.

Basicly the same as Toughbook says
Multimedia audio controller - is the sound card
PCI modem- This looks like the 56k modum but,
See if in the device manager if the modum shows as installed and look for the network card shows up as installed
unknown device- is the hotkey drivers
    video controller-video card drivers
video controller (VGA compatible)-video card drivers

Have you read any of the stickies? I'm just curious... There is plenty of instruction for driver loading available here in multiple places...

    Karma?
