Yes, I do have the calibration tool... but it doesn't work too good.

The problem is that when I touch the screen, the mouse is shown well below where I am touching. The trouble I'm having is that when I try to calibrate it, I click on the red cross, but the cursor is so far off the cross that it doesn't register that as a click and it never moves onto the next one. This is particularly frustrating because I have no idea how to calibrate this thing if I can't even get the calibration tool to work right.

Are there other calibration tools out there or is there a config file or something somewhere that i can manually type in adjustments into?

Thanks in advance! You guys have been a HUGE help so far in starting me on my toughbook addiction :)

It sounds like you either have a bad driver or a bad touchscreen.... If you know you have the correct driver... You have a bad touchscreen.

There could be some gunk stuck between the bezel and the touchscreen.

Take the bezel off and give the touchscreen a wipe-down around the edges.

No No No You don't click on the cross with your mouse cursor you have to touch the screen with your finger or stylus. The stylus makes for a more precise calibration.

I had a similar issue. Everytime I touched the cross, nothing happend.

Then, I found that if I touch the cross, and hold my finger on it for about 1 second, it would advance to the next position.

Thanks guys, I got it going... it was actually a combination of everything... screen was a bit dirty under the edges, i used a proper stylus rather then my finger (I didn't have one before so I went out and bought one), and I needed to hold on the point for a tad longer then I had been... I thought just tap it and it would move on before but you do need to hold for just a second.

Thanks for all the help :) I'm sure I'll be back with some more noobish questions.
