    Shamelessly stolen from Digg:

    “Hi I’m a Mac!”

“And I’m a Toughbook PC. And organizations such as the United States Military use me in hazardous environments.”

“Well, people use me to do stuff too. You know, freelance journalism, freelance design, freelance… You know, freelance stuff.”

“I was built to withstand even the harshest weather and conditions. Once, I took a bullet for my user.”

“I was built to look pretty. And once I made my user cry after my screen got scratched.”

“Sounds like you’re quite the asset.”

“Yeah thanks, I know. Want me make you a soldier at war blog or design a sticker for your peripherals ?”

    “No.”

"Google phasing out Windows, switching to Mac & Linux

Our friends at TUAW have reported that Google are no longer renewing Windows licenses and are now taking the official line of offering employees a choice of either Mac or Linux OS only.

Despite recent tension between Google and Apple, it would appear that using Mac OS X is still preferable over the potential security flaws found in Windows.

That said, it may only be a matter of time until the Mac itself becomes a bigger target for hackers as its market share gains."

    I.E.: "There's no `free lunch'."

Personally I feel that the trojan/virus/hacking crap is governed by good software, the intelligence of the user and knowing what to do and what not to do... And likewise... Where you can go and where you shouldn't.

If you deal with porno and torrents.... You WILL get burned one day. 99% of the people out there only know how to turn on their PCs and how to enter their credit card to either buy stuff or renew software.

Hardware and software designers are trying to "Dumb Down" the PCs and software to try to make them idiot proof.... But you cannot protect an idiot (or someone who just doesn't know any better) from themselves.

Even the people who have come to me years ago with the "I just lost all my data" issue... Even AFTER it scares the bejesus out of them and AFTER I set them up to do backups.... They still do not.
