Since using it, it feels much more advanced due to the higher resolution

I have been using the old res for about 3 yrs now on 29 and the 30 i got used to it and now that i am using the y7 it feels as though i have an HDTV lol

the speed is a bit snappier too, but the 30 was quick since i had 4gb ram and a sammy ssd

I see you point: coming from 1024x768 (CF30, CF19) or even 1280x800 (C1), to a CF-F9 with 1440x900 there's more than just DPI that meets the eye. The color reproduction improvement is better, and feels like you have just washed a dirty window.

1024x768 is not a "very low" resolution.
Google Nexus 10 (10 inch) has 2560 x 1600 resolution. So does it have a better screen than Toughbooks? I don't think they can be compared. Different tasks, different clients. Very beautiful screens are important indoors and for entertainment tasks.
Panasonic Let's Note series laptops are unusable outdoors, where brightness is the most important parameter. I have to say, for me they are not usable even indoors with their low brightness screens, active cooling and crazy prices. It's better to buy Macbook Pro :)
Fully rugged Toughbooks have very good visibility screens with standard resolution. It's very important for their clients.

"i may consider the dell models that are tough, but i really want to stay with panny"

I was in that same boat, I snagged one of the DELLs at a killer deal a year ago, beat the crap out of it..
It's faster, tougher, built better and I have had ZERO issues with it.
Now the local PD is getting them in.
Panasonic just doesn't have a FULLY RUGGED that can match the DELLs.

I'll hear the backlash just like I did when I sold my PANNY and got the DELL, but I don't think there is one other person on here that has had HANDS ON both the PANNY and the DELL.
ANything else is just BRAND loyalty and fanboism.. ;)

    I had the CF-29, 74, 30, and the CF-31....
    All replaced with my 6420XFR

    Listen rookie..
I have actually had EVERY version of TOUGHBOOK since the CF-29 in my possession.
Did I say they were crap? No, I didn't...
    So with that said FANBOY...

I think the TOUGHBOOKS are great, but they are dated, and are in need of being able to compete with current tech.
I don't need a caddy for my SSD, and it can be swapped out in about 3 seconds..
Toughbooks have their place, but the industries that they have had a monopoly on are becoming infiltrated by other brands.

I'm here, because I still get messages about TOUGHBOOKS, I still sell em, and I still fix em.
xboxhaxorz mentioned the DULL, so I gave him my take on it.
Hell, I think LENOVO is better than DELL or PANNY, but they don't make a rugged..

Don't like it? Go cry somewhere else...
Because you won't find ANYONE in this world who cares less about your opinion than I do. :)

At my work we tested Dulls on our Hyster forklifts, these forklifts have solid rubber tires so when you hit a bump you feel it. The 2 Dulls never lasted the week before we replaced them with Toughbooks...CF-18's but now we use the CF-19's. We also tested another brand which I can't remember but it died too. Dulls might look cool but in the real world they can't take it.

    Tough,
    Which models?
I beat the crap out of mine...
I don't have a forklift to test it on, but it's been run over by a truck..
Local Police LT had one survive a front end crash.. needed a little "adjustment". ;)
We run DULLS and GETAC mostly...

As for the Panasonic... Just don't let ROB get drunk and jump on your CF-30. ;)
