I got myself a Toughbook U-1 and I must say it is pretty cool. And despite having just a 1.33 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM, she's pretty darn fast! Once I figured out how to right click with it all was good.

That's my GPS signal strength with the U1 =)

I haven't seen any U1 threads, btw, and I am curious as to who else here has one

I got one a few months back. It was only the 16GB version but it did have factory GPS. It had software on it for tracking dog collars when I got it. Got xp and vista restore CD with it too. I haven't got into modding it yet, but I will be soon.

I've played with PLEANTY of U1's... At Proton I sold some of the newest model MK1's with the 64GB hard drives... MUCH bigger than 16G's.

At Rugged Depot I have about 200+ in stock including the MK2's which have more memory and better CPU's. They're pretty damn cool!

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for that? I have the BEST deals on the net on U1's... trust me on that...

P.S, I took one apart at Rugged Depot from start to finish and it was a FREAKING nightmare! I wouldn't wish it on my WORST enemy! lol
