Ok I have searched messages and looked all over here and I cant find it.
So I am just going to ask and appologise now.

I saw a post where someone was talking about an external usb HD enclosure that came with the HiTachi 7200rpm drive in it that everyone says is the best For the cf-28.

can someone please tell me that name of it or point me to the thread.

    sorry
    and thanks

Why worry... Build your own and save money! The enclosures go for $10 and the drive is up to you. Newegg is out of all ATA6 drives (The type you need.). But you can build your own in all of 1 minute!

It is truly the easiest thing you'll ever build. Unpack the drive, push the connector on and slide it in the enclosure. Then secure the top with two screws... I have many of them...

EDIT - BTW... Welcome to the forum... And no need to apologize in this forum... We don't flame people around here... We're all about helping out! ;)

    thanks alot.

But I must not have made my intentions clear, my bad.
I want to buy this so I can pull the drive out of it and install it in my cf-28. I just cant remember what it was called, I remember something about a serial number containing DTG or something like that but that is everything I can pull out of my deep fried mind.

    Thanks again.

It might have been me. I found great deals on Maxtor One-Touch III usb drives on my local Craigslist. I got one a couple years ago for $50 that had a 60 GB drive, and then last year I found a 160 GB model for $75. They had Seagate Momentus drives in them though, which might not be as high-performance as the ones people in this forum prefer.
