Correct, a Panasonic Toughbook CF-52G series unit is a Mark 2 model.

I was going to recommend that one also, but Rob stated in the original post that he was looking for a docking station. that was why I asked whether he wanted a docking station or a replicator, especially since he said it was going to be used at a desk.

I guess it is all a matter of semantics. While they can be considered interchangeable terms (and I have probably used both myself), during recent times "docking station" has normally referred to units placed in vehicles while port replicators are those that are used on a desk. In the future, if someone is asking for either, the easiest thing to do would be to ask the purpose for the unit, in a car or on a desk. Ultimately, the important issue is that we are all out here to help our Toughbook brethren and help them any way we can.

Port replicator is fine... thats the same as a docking station in my eyes (it clips to the bottom of the laptop through the dock port). Yes I need one, and if no one else has one for sale I will proceed today to purchase that $151 from eBay.

    Thanks

P.S, my mothers company has purchased that CF-52 that I bought and it will be on a desk which is why we need that dock station/port replicator.

P.S.S - I GOT ANOTHER PERSON TO SWITCH TO TOUGHBOOKS!!! AHAHAHA! YEEEEEEES!!!!!! :D

And as the plague continued to spread across the land, mysterious tattoos were seen on many of the victims.....TOUGHBOOKS RULE! It is not know where this disease started, but unknown, underground groups of fanatics are thought to still be spreading the virus that has no known cure (unless of course you have a large bank account and then all is good!)
