On the way home, I stopped at the computer recycle place to see if they had any memory. The guy there looked up on the computer and told me that I could only add 2GB according the whatever he was looking at. I told him that I thought it would take 8GB. Anyways, he found a 4GB stick and we installed it. I powered it up and went into the setup and it shows 6GB.

Here is my question. The 4GB stick has a different number than what it calls for. Will this cause a problem. The new stick is a DDR3-12800 I think.

19 are going cheap on ebay now. You have a MK4 and I seen them for $100-$350.00 . It's really hard to say.

OK. I swapped the drive from my older CF-19. After it starts to boot into XP, it goes into the safe mode screen. Is it a compatibility issue? I have a Win 7 Pro recover disk coming from Heartland but it wont be here until next week. I will probably install Linux on the one I keep.

Here's another puzzle for you. I bought a 3M Touch Screen that I would like work into tis equation. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I also picked up some more CF-19s, model cf-19rfrc66m. It's hard going to the smaller screen and everything else after the CF-30.

I also got some new cd drives for the CF-30. I popped one right into my CF-30. Am I allowed to sell some of the drives on NBR?

They are MODEL CF-VDR302U. I have seen them as much as $500. I know that's pie in the sky money. What's a fair price? New in box.

So what exactly are you trying to do here??? Your computer already has Dual Touch on it. If that isn't currently working, well the recovery DVD should get it working. Or are you trying to use this as a second monitor?

(edit* Nevermind, I just saw the date...)

Another possible option for GPS on the CF-19 is to go fully custom. The WWAN card fits into a pci slot or something similar. I picked up a chinese adapter card on eBay that converts this to something else (sata maybe?), and also gives you another USB output. Or something along those lines. I forget the specifics as it has been several years since I have opened it up. But the card cost me something cheap like $2-5. And it gives you clean access to internal USB.

Also there are ublok gps cards that easily fit into the WWAN slot, cheap. I remember paying something like $7 for mine. And there are also better options out there. Point being if your not using the WWAN slot, it can be easily used for GPS.

    "not the best ..."
    yeah , that is what i (have) discovered on/with my '19 .
i have been kicking the idea around of using a taoglas antenna in conjunction with a ublox module .
it is a combination that is hard to beat .
