I wonder if this 4G LTE card will work in my CF-C1

besides the Jeremy Clarkson "Speeeeeed", " Poowerrrrrr" logic, why more speed? I have one of the cheapest rates on the best network here and pay € 0,04 per Mb, making it faster will also make it more expensive to use (in a sense that you use more Mb's if the connection is faster and everything goes even easier).
Last month I worked on a site that had no ethernet or wifi so i worked a lot on the WWAN card. 1,7Gb of data. Ouch, that was a bit more than expected! Then again, well over two weeks of internet for work costing me a measly €68 is a whole lot better than the alternative: no internet.
And the 14.2HSPA+ internet was very nice at times, sending and receiving without waiting for minutes. But 7.2 works quite nice as well?!

To answer your question, if Panasonic uses the MC7700, why wouldn't it work? They'll have the drivers I suppose?

edit: I have the Ericsson F5521gw.

    I have the drivers.

And I have 5GB per month man. If I don't use it all I STILL get charged... Each additional GB is only $10 too.

Darn how much do you pay for the 5Gb then?
    Would cost me € 200 a month....

    I pay $50 USD/month. With taxes it's like $51.50 USD/month.

Darn, I need to get to Texas as well....
But if you have the drivers, why don't you just go ahead adn get blazing speeds on the CF-C1?
I'm just wondering if the computing power of the C1 is big enough to notice such a difference.
When I adjust my 19 to maximum power saving, I often notice how slow large webpages load. And that isn't about the speed of my internet, I have a 100/100 fibre optic connection. (I might even get 250/250 soon. Powerrrrrr, Speeeeeeeeed lol)

I am actually located in the Chicago suburbs and work for RD from there.

But, yes, the $$ isn't the issue, I'm just not sure that it'll work because it isn't Panasonic branded, that's all. Yes, my C1 is MORE THAN capable of handling it.

    SPEED! POWER! PERFORMANCE! YES!

Hmmmm. What would they do with the Panasonic branded ones. Flash different firmware on them?
I see only one way to find out: try!

What do you use the C1 used for? I always found it something for the ups or FedEx guy or for checking inventories but other than that?

Edit: I've confused the c1 and the u1. Never mind. But seeing how much my bios is locked down on the 19mk5, I'm not absolutely sure the. We card would adapt without a problem.

It is locked down. But not for me ;) :D

I will take the risk I think. Just waiting for some bills to clear then I will purchase :).

We won't be able to do that actually because we are not authorized to do FP reader installs and don't have the right "tools" to do it.

    Sorry.

I wanted to post this sooner, but I was on vacation and then came home to a tornado that destroyed most of the town. By Gods grace everyone I know is okay! I have power now, but no internet (Only on my ATT air card).

At any rate! I did finally get the MC7700 with ATT LTE. It works GREAT in my C1. All I have to say is DEAR GOD ALMIGHTY it's fast!!!! I'm getting about 6 - 20M down and about 3 - 6M up!

In the midst of the storms and loss of landline based communications (and cell isn't too good either), I've re-routed all network connections including my company phone through this card and backfed it into the network so I can at least work! THANK GOD FOR ATT 4G LTE! :)

The only issue is that this card has a MAIN and AUX for the 4G (And, if you don't have them BOTH hooked up it won't work right!!) and a 3rd one is a dedicated GPS antenna, of which I don't have hooked up because there is no antenna! :( So, no GPS. It's a minor set back that I'm willing to sacrifice for 4G! :)

    Thanks!

You should be getting more down/up than that... I've been getting 5mb up with 60mb down... outside that is. Basically... you can blow through your monthly plan allotment in some 10 minutes. :)

It shows it's connected at 65.5M but that doesn't mean it will go that fast.

Canuck, you do know that flashed based test sites like "speedtest.net" are HORRIBLY inaccurate right!?!?? I ONLY base my results off of testmy.net!

... because they use servers peered with your provider's network?

The only one I know is wonky is for my speedtest at work. We've got a 10gigE pipe... and the test results are all over the place, probably because the finishes the moment I push "begin," and I'm probably saturating the test server's pipe. LOL.

Do you think this ...MC7750 module for Verizon would work in a CF-30 MK2 Or MK3?
