Interesting, but are they Fluorescent or reflective? I know that say Fluorescent, but most of that material will not "pick up any sources of light coming in/ through (even your own monitor)" and "brighten up immediately."

Frankly, I would rather have reflective, I can not see any material this thin, and legal for civilian applications, having a very long glow time. None of the "Glow-n-the-dark" paper I looked at for my lablels did, that I could get anyway.

I guess it's kind of a good idea, but I wouldn't use it.

    I'm puzzled???
Why would you buy this rather than spend $40-$50 for a real backlit keyboard?
I would think that in no time the film would start to peel off and you would be back to square 1.
    My $0.02

Yes, awhile back I purchased some glow paint with disappointing results. While I found these interesting, my link to these was a bit tongue in cheek, considering the demand here for backlit keyboards. I already have a backlit keyboard.
I wouldn't really expect high performance for $9.00. I never thought about glow in the dark for your labels. That would have been a nice touch.

Uhhhhh... Yeah.... I imagine taking the Toughbook out of a hot car and trying to type... Having the stickers stick to your fingers or sliding off to the side.

    Wow. That's just... cr@ptacular.

I remember when I was a kid I got the kit of glow-in-the-dark stars, moons & planets from the back of a comic book (actually, I got 6 sets, cuz I wanted to COVER the ceiling). When they came, I spent all morning on a stepladder sticking them up... and waiting patiently until it was dark. Then I turned out the lights and... WOW! for about 30 seconds. Then....glubrrrrbble.... grrr.... WHY DID I WASTE $6 ON THIS CR@P?

Now it IS true that glow-in-the-dark stuffs like these respond MUCH better to fluorescent and LED illumination than they do to incandescent lights... but... PUH-LEASE. To imagine this as any kind of enterprise-class solution is patently absurd.

How about a braille keyboard for absolute darkness?
Did anyone else notice how ATM machines at the Drive up window used to have (and some still do) braille on the numbers.

I would imagine cheap JUNK glow in the dark is probably made in China.
Glow in the dark IRIDIUM paint/ink?

I'll try it out and see if I grow a 3rd testicle....

ON a side note, there were some sony camcorders, and a few cell phones that had IR sensitive ccd's, that under the right conditions, could "see" through clothes. Private parts, nipple's, and the like were quite visible through clothing!!!

Extra testicle, or extra toughbook...... if they grow out of the same area, I might have a new carreer path in porno's ;D

And I think if we eliminated all the sucky topics, we would end up running our mouth.... keyboards (more often) on more important topics???

We all need off topic and somewhat odd posts (this post sucks items) to give some humor to it all. Frankly if this forum was all tech all the time without humor, it would get pretty boring.

I guess it may depend on what each individual considers an important topic. I find humor and comments on the truly bizarre to be interesting.

I am smiling thinking about a small child finding dad's Toughbook with these cheesy keyboard stickers. QWERTY across his forehead and who knows what scrabbled on his hands. And of course 2 or 3 on his tongue and up his nose.

Comp, quick question: If you have 1GB in ur 52, why you list 3.21GB?? 1GB is WAY low by today's standards...

1Gb is what came with the 52 originally. I actually have 4Gb in it.

Did you see my HP's RAM? 512Mb and still runs like a champ. I use it everyday. The bad thing is that it could only be upgraded to 1Gb. I'll be buying a new laptop shortly.
