I finally took the lunge and purchased a new SSD, an Intel X25E. I have a few questions please since I have not recieved another HDD enclosure yet.

I want to keep using XP for now, at least until I feel confident that W7 is the real thing. I would really like to clone this HDD since I have it set up exactly like I want. Finally!

I want to know if once I install the new SSD into the enclosure, load my XP onto it, can I swap the hard drives until I get a new enclosure? Basically meaning can I pull out my new HDD, and simply put in my old HDD? I know I could try cloning this HDD but I can't seem to find one that does not have it's minus's. Unless you guys know of one?

I pretty much have everything I need on this drive and that is only taking up 20Gbs. I keep alot of stuff stored on my IronKeys, our wonderful Uncle Sam demands that.

Thanks for your help, throw out some other ideas as well. The UPS man should be here any minute :) :) :)

Win 7 is the real deal

Registry is Optimized for SSD's as well as the whole OS.

If your gonna use a SSD it is the OS to use...My OCZ vertex booted in 7 seconds

You can use HDclone to Copy the internal HD to the USB enclosure then just swap the drives and your done

ITs a bootable CD and its impossible to mess up

I do have a USB enclosure I could use to clone it. So, I would put the new SSD in the enclosure and just move the clone over to it, then put the SSD in my CF-30 enclosure????

I didn't realize the cloning software actually moves EVERYTHING?
