I would like to install a wwan card in my W5 but I can't seem to figure out how I to take off the top lid to gain access to the wwan slot.
Any help would be appreciated!

First things first, let's make sure you have a WWAN ready model.
What is your model number?
Thanks
BTW, Welcome newb! -
Is it actually possible to install WWAN into a W5 which does not have it built in already? As far as I know the WWAN and non-WWAN W5s use very different display lids: boxy WWAN lid versus flat non-WWAN lid. This leads me to think that either WWAN is already there, or it cannot be installed - but that's just my speculation.

That's why I asked the OP the for his model number first and foremost. -
Yes, it is the WWAN model, as far as I know almost all North American W5s are WWAN ready, at least I've never seen a non WWAN North American W5 for sale.
I unscrew the two screws next to the sim card slot but I still can't lift the lid that hides the wwan slot. I can lift it enough to see the slot but that's it. There must be a simple way to take that cover off.
Somebody must have done this already. -
There are two additional screws that are hidden behind the rubber bumpers on the top front of the screen bezel. After you remove those the cover can be removed.
-
Wow, thanks a lot, that's exactly what it was. What do you normally use to stick the rubber bumpers back?
-
You can use some rubber contact cement or silicone, if you use silicone just make sure you let it cure overnight before using it or they will fall off.

Good to know, might help avoid disappointments when shopping for used units.
