So I have this CF 52 FKN10AM and I wanted to install an internal wireless card. I have an Intel 4965AGN card. So i tried to tape of pin 20 but am now wondering if i am taping the right pin. I started from pins facing me and counted top left to right 10pins and taped off the bottom one. I placed the card in the slot under the L shaped door and then tried it under the speaker cover. The bios shows a wireless on off switch and its enabled. I have the switch on and when the system does its POST the light next to the switch comes on for a few seconds then off and i can’t turn the light back on by changing the switch position. I also downloaded Intel Proset 64bit windows 7 driver and I don’t see he card in the Device manager windows Please help this is supposed to be a xmas gift. Thank you. I am running Windows 7 Ult 64bit. I have tried googling this and just cant get it figured out.

Do you have it enabled in BIOS? Is it even seen in BIOS? Pin #20 is located on the underside of the miniPCI Express board, second pin from the notch, on the side with more pins. Check Index of ./CF-30 Stuff/CF-30 Upgrade to 802.11N Intel 4965 Fix/ for some pictures and http://forum.notebookreview.com/panasonic/595917-problems-upgrading-cf-30-internal-wireless.html for the same type discussion for the CF-30. It doesn't matter what system the card is going into. We are still talking about the pin 20 mod.

The "10" in your model no. may mean it was modded to order for a company that didn't want wireless for security reasons.
My ex-company Mk.1 CF-52DCY33BE has bios V1.54L21 M35 and a wifi card that doesn't work. Tried others too, none work.
The "M35" is non-standard and I suspect it's the reason my wireless doesn't show in bios despite showing in device manager. The wireless switch does however show in bios. Bluetooth and HSDPA internals are not recognised either.
I haven't found a cure but I don't use wireless and don't care to pay Panasonic to load the standard bios.
If Panasonic made that bios version publicly available it would probably breach their contract with the original purchaser so I don't think a download will become available.
I just tether my phone or use a dongle for MBB.
7 ult. x64 works great on the Mk.1 too BTW.

Hi! I had the exact same model and I got an atheros card from an Hp and it did work. I dont remember the exact model but I can try locating the buyer and ask him. Good luck, you have a fantastic machine! I miss mine very much, I wish I could affor the new one with the LED screen. The Cf-52 is the last 1920x1200 machine standing afaik.

Edit: Its important to say the atheros card didnt need any pin work, just plug and play. Drivers needed though as I had mine with the factory installed windows xp image
