So, I'm doing some research on replacing my wireless card on my CF-29 and ran across this ad pamphlet from Intel
Page #2 on the left (only pic) you can see the back of a CF-29/30!![]()

I think its funny that Intel as big as they are would make a Ad for Centrino Duo and use a CF-29
which is a single core. You think they would use a CF-30....

Well, you know... they don't care that some of us AREN'T DOLTS and can tell the difference; they're much more interested in selling to the vast majority who ARE... they're MUCH easier to separate from their money.

More than half the people out there graduated in the bottom half of their class... or worse. -
Cool, I just finished watching Jacked on Speed and the police are using the toughbooks. I couldn't get a good look so not sure which CF-28/29/30/?.
But its nice to see toughbooks out there. -
In real life I'm seeing both CF-29s & CF-30s in Police Cruisers here in San Antonio...

Life is not for pu$$ies. -
You will mostly see CF-29's if they implemented Toughbooks. Most cities, counties, etc are strapped for money right now. So, they have not upgraded in a couple of years. Just wait until the economy makes it 's turn. Then we are going to see a whole slew of used TB's on sale at various places. Which is a good and bad thing. One, they will be used and abused alot more than normal, but we should be able to get them cheaper.
Then they will either purchase new 30's or whatever is out at the time. I say 30's because of price.
The part that amazes me about the Intel ads is that they chose a TB over all the other laptops out there. Don't get me wrong, I am glad they did! I keep saying to myself..........I bet the person in charge of Marketing, the Ad Agency that does the commercial or whoever must love TB's! One would think they would throw some POS Dell or an Hp out there? Speaking of HP. I read an article about the CEO of HP, talking about how he has changed the company around and such. They sell a new HP computer every 7 seconds! Think about that one for a minute? -

I've seen a few cf30s for Harris County but mostly 29s. and absolutely no 28s.
Comcast Techs around here are using CF19s and CF30s...... Big Ballers

Just getting into the TB arena. They are high dollar, but you get what you pay for. Interesting ad, but I doubt the young puppies pictured actually know what they have in their hands or that they would buy one. Gotta love marketing.

I'm a young puppy as you would put it. Are you implying that us younger folk don't know anything about quality? BTW I'm just poking fun at you. Most younger people are dumb and it kinda upsets me when I think about it. Alas, I am shallow and I get over it quickly

LOL
Yeah, after a few spills, thrills, and chills, PPL learn.
Its a shame the younger generation are so nieve.
Not sure about that spelling.
But look at the magnitude of In-Face-Marketing the masses are exposed to. Gee I would wonder why I'm confused? The youngsters are inudated constantly with propaganda marketing or guerrilla marketing. Many cant think before leaping onto a I need/want this.
Poke all the fun you want. Love to Laugh
Best Regards

ha impulse buying... we are all infected and there is no cure. Try actually going inside a gas station and not purchasing anything but gas. That's the ultimate exploitation of the impulse buyer.
Hmmmm.... I want $20 on pump 3. 3lbs of beef jerky. 2 cartons of Marlboro Reds. This 44oz Dr. Pepper. 5 Scratch-off lotto tickets and this pack of gum. And to keep it on topic, throw in a cf28 toughbook

Sure there's a cure
Hello I'm broke!!
