Other than the memory speed and a few other features what is the differences between a L2400 and a L7500?
I am looking at getting a CF-30 and the price difference for the L2400 and the L7500 is $300. Is the L7500 that much better to cost that much more?

I don't think its that much better. It has the higher fsb and L2 cache, but doesn't seem justified for $300. To some people it may be.

I own both models
Under normal condition's you will never max out the processor, so you will not notice a performance difference
Your best bang for the buck , is to take part of the $300 you save on buying a mk-1 and put it towards a ssd drive
The upgrade to a ssd drive is quite noticeable
The only change in features between the two is that the newer gobi 2000 WWAN was upgraded from the gobi1000 on the mk-1 -
Here is a comparison for you.

They were asking $600 buy it now or best offer, I offered $500 and they accepted so I am happy.
