*Hugs his very firstest CF-28 Mk1 close*
There, there... he didn't mean anything by that...
mnem
Still got it... -

I'm sorry, but did I miss the Toughbook here?????? I watched this video twice too.......
~Rob - drooling over the SLS...~ -

It's a very quick shot. Less then a second. Hard to catch.
 -

Its at 0:59... all you see is the corner of the keyboard
 -

I know it's only about a second that you see it.
The point I was wanting to show is that even a ten year old toughbook is still being used while making a commercial for one of the most advance autos made today.
Now what do you think. Was it just a prop or did it really have a purpose and was it being used?

Wow! I see it now... Leave it to the nerds on here to see that .1 second shot of a CF-28, and even know the mark based on the keyboard... WOW...

I thought it was just me. I'm not as hardcore as you guys yet.
 -

Meh. To those not yet infected, ToughBooks are like dragons... they all look alike. It was probably a doorstop in someone's closet; when they decided they wanted a ToughBook for the Advert, said someone dragged it out.
I'll bet you a dollar the reason they only show that corner is because it's a Mk1 with the 12" screen; if it had been the 13", they'd have bluescreened in some phony analytics program.

I am a dwagon, not a number! -

for those that care, the toughbook made a cameo apperance on ''the walking dead''
 -

speaking of toughbooks last week I was watching a episode of Jericho and in the safe room there was a good 6 or 7 seconds of what looks like a 29 in safe room.
 -
Oh jeez, another installment of "Jericho ToughBook watch"...
mnem
Seen 'em on CSI too... and 5-0, and Burn Notice and Life too, before you go there... -
Rob, its not the keyboard its the handle. The MK1 was the only CF-28 with a black handle. Those of us who used to haunt the flea looking for 28s to update and sell could tell the difference between the MK1 and the MK2 and 3 with just a glance at the gallery photos

CAP -

Cap
Don't forget the black touchpad, it's only on the mk-1's -

LOL I thought it was gonna be something more subtle like corner of the palm rest or a defect in the keyboard!
 -

Don't laugh
The lid corner bumpers are slightly different on the mk-1 as well
They don't stick out on the side lol -

TopCop1988 Toughbook Aficionado
Yup!
And I've always wondered where Robert Hawkins got the signal for his WWAN connection.

      -
That clearly was not a cingular WWAN
 -
That's because "The Doctor" had it upgraded for "Universal Roaming"...
mnem
Now to upgrade the GPS to UPS...
Interesting Video (old toughbook)
