I recently purchased a CF-28 600 mhz model. I've done a lot of research on this site (great resource) and learned that the 600 mhz model has a shorter caddy. The numbers on my caddy are N3CABQD00001 and "inside-hdd 28TZZM." The reason I ask is that while it fits, the bottom case barely shuts and there is a bit of a gap -- it's a tight fit. I'm wondering if this is for an 800 or 1000 mhz model. Thanks in advance.

Hi
I can only tell you that my cf-28S 1000 mhz model has this part number on the caddy N2CABQD00009. It also say CF28S3JGZZM below this as well. -
It has been discussed that the 600MHz caddy will fit all models (Though a bit loose in the 800MHz and 1GHz models) but the reverse can't happen. If you have an 800MHz caddy and it fits AND you can still close the bottom plate and lock the locks... I think you have the right caddy.
You can also look over to the left toward the side where there is usually a metallic cushion to provide for proper grounding I suppose. Sometimes this prevents the caddy from seating properly especially if it has been moved.
Usually if I have an MK1 caddy and use it in an MK2/3 CF-28... I take that cushion and put it on top of the caddy to make sure it will not move once the bottom plate is locked in place.
Is This a CF-28 600 mhz Caddy?
