    Hello,

I was curious as I have a DC converter already and would hate to buy a new one if I can, are they the same socket?

    Thanks

If you are talking about the female ac power in plug on the units...no they are different.

    No problem, my pleasure.

Ya. Its been a very good machine. The problem was not so much the speed as much as the screen brightness and battery life. Trying to view the 28 screen in the desert sun is more difficult than the 29...still difficult but better. I was averaging 3-4 hours (primary) battery life on the 28...the 29 is almost double that on the primary. Got a media bay battery on the way :) The additional speed is nice as well.

Wow impressive, so the new changes in the cf-28 DO increase Battery life. I too had 6.6Ah batteries and they only lasted about 2.5-4 hours depending on if the HD was being used heavy or Media drive watching a movie.

Ya, I was blown away when I got the 29. I couldnt believe it. I kept checking the meter expecting to see the dreaded low battery icon. Have not watched a movie yet. I will have to do that and see what the battery life is like
