This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    My new (to me) toughbook showed up in the mail today. CF29, 1.4 processor with the touchscreen. Seems to be in very good shape. The guy on Ebay did a very good job describing it.

    I'm in the middle of updating AVG, and downloading and installing CCleaner and MalwareBytes, but just wanted to post a quick note.

    I'm sure I'll be posting more later, like how to swap out the CD-ROM for a DVD/CD player/writer and maybe more memory tips.
