Hi everyone I am new to this forum, and love it. Thanks to previous questions and answers I manage to do a clean installation whit tablet buttons, display rotation and all the drivers working whitout the recovery CDs. Not easy but reading carefully and searching will do it. I did get hold of a CF-18DD MK2 in extremly good condition and all original panasonic, even the battery will last for a good while and its panasonic.
CPU: 1.1Ghz
RAM: 768MB
HDD: 40GB 4200rpm

I will soon do a upgrade and I wont to post some resultat before the upgrade have not yet got the "Transcend TS64GSSD25-M 2.5" 64GB PATA MLC drive" and this RAM from ebay seller in germany.
Windows boot time 51.3sec whit original 40GB 4200rpm, 768MB RAM.
Windows boot time 25.8 whit SSD TRANSCEND 64GB, still 768MB RAM
"All drivers installed and a new copy of Windows XP Tablet SP2 installed, also adobe reader and SVG View. Time calculated in complete windows load up and wireless balloon will tell there is wifi detected nearby"
Battery time, 3hours 28minutes (Is that good?, how much will it hold new?)
"Battery time was counted whit screen on full brightness, all power saving options like screen saver, power save mode and so on was off. And wifi was connected all time. Battery was charged for 6hours before test"
In 1week I will get my SSD and RAM and will post new time on both battery and boot to this topic. Battery will not be in use during the time waiting for parts.

Thx, just a quick one this Digitizer Pen seems to be broken. What is the function that is missing, could it be the right-click button?
-

Just got my SSD today, installed it and it went all good same size and the switch was made on 20minutes. Windows XP tablet boot time 25.8sec thats good and all programs load very fast, I like it.
All seems very good but the info before buy said read speed: 74mb/s write speed: 45mb/s. But on the box it saids read: 80mb/s write: 50mb/s
The disk out of the box

I don't beleve some of these manufaturers claims
I have a cheap KINGSPEC IDE ssd coming and will check it to confirm what the read speed really is -
How is the drive working? I have a cf-18 1.2 ghz 1 gb mem running windows 7 with th same 64 gb Transcend drive. It seems slow at times. When i run hdtune i get
Tranfre rate min 42.9, max 57.0 avg 50.7
Access time 0.8
Burst rate 30.0
CPU 39.8
If i run Crystal Disk Mark i get
seq read 70.21 Write 11.41
512k read 65.15 write 1.255
4k read 4.831 write 0.323
4k qd32 read 4.630 write 0.207
Just bought a CF-18 MK2, will soon upgrade to SSD and 1.2MB RAM.
