Luckily it already had intel wireless hardware installed. I started the modification with factory bluetooth.

Unsure of which wire is the bluetooth antennae. I pulled the blue wire and connected to the bottom side of the module. Why in this pics are the wire connected the way they are? I tried researching it but couldn't find any info.

Mounted the module beneath the board.

Then i installed the toshiba stack. Bluetooth works great with my old Motorola SLVR phone. But with the iphone4 (Jailbroken) my laptop see the phone and it connects but sometimes the laptop would crash? and get the blue screen of death. But the laptop would reboot normally and operate like nothing had happened. Operating system is Vista. I want to upgrade to Window 7. Seems tedious to upgrade from reading the how to.

Wireless visible in upper left. Sierra card on right under the cage. The antenna lead goes from the wireless card to the PCB and then to the lid (antenna). Just a quick shot, I was working on something else and didn't follow through on your question. I have a couple more shots too. CF-18 Mark 5.

If you are running Vista then you can upgrade to 7, just pop in the disk and choose upgrade. What is a pain is the upgrade from XP were you have no choice but to do a clean install.

There is, like GORK! wrote, an dual pass-through connector to shorten the length of the cables and to bring access to the connector for the dockingstation. It's also easier to assemble and reassemble the display and other parts and exchange them.
If u had a loose cable with a blank connector in ur laptop, it would be a little bit noisy and also dangerous for the mainboard because of the possibility of a short. Thats why they are connected to a blind connector if u don't use them, to hold them in position near the WWAN PCI-express slot. It's a toughbook -
Looks like you snagged a federal touchscreen model... I hope you paid less than $1300 for it...
