I would like to get a backlit keyboard for my CF-28M, but what will worK? I've seen several keyboards, 2 and 3 connector, and just how does the emmissive keyboard work? and would it be a better choice?

Yeah, I did. Nothing about what is emissive backlite vs. backlite.

The emissive chicklet keyboard for the 28 needs a special high voltage board which is very hard to find. It looks like the state of texas ;)

The emissive keyboards for CF-28 will only work for the P and S versions (800MHz & 1.0GHz). The M (600MHz) version does not have a place on the motherboard for the "Texas" circuit to plug in. :(

    Summary

You can only use a rubber backlit type in the two connector variety on your cf-28
Some rare mk2 and mk3's allow the use of an older type emmissive

The nice hard key emmissive keyboard is for cf-29's and newer

Some very rare MK2-MK3 also allow the use of the newer emissive keyboards.
