Wondering if anyone knew the BIOS limitation on the MK3 CF-25. I've got plenty of drives but not sure what I can use!

    Aaron7,

I would say it would 30Gb hard disk.

You could just try any hard disks and see whis will work at the size that on the lable by going in to the bios. you will not do any damage to the hard disk or laptop.

16 bit limitation of 137GB. You can put a 120 in there. If you put a larger drive (IE, 160), then it would only see 137GB of it.

Well I know it definately can't see larger than 8.4g without an overlay.

I was wondering if the cap was lower than that though.

    I don't remember for sure
I used a drive overlay in mine , but I don't remember the hard drive size that I was using, but as my desktop at the time was 20GB and laptop hardware was always behind it was less than 10GB
It could be as low as 2.1GB or 4.2GB !

The CF-25 HAD a Hard drive?

I could've sworn those were dual floppy... ;)

haha, yah, this thing has been hot rodded as much as possible. Now that I've got 160mb RAM I want to load 2000 on it... but with the 2.1gb hard drive it isn't really feasable.
